Alliance Customer: 10 Years
Friends help friends when the chips are down. But what about banks?
Ask Butch Brown, and he’ll tell you without hesitation that one bank and its management have always stood by him.
“I’ve known Steve Herron and Mark Ault since before they opened Alliance,” recalls Brown. “They’ve always been there for me with support, trust and good advice.”
Brown’s first business venture grew and expanded into two cities, Topeka and Kansas City, Missouri, with as many as 75 employees. But it all came to an end when one dishonest employee stole from the company and Brown went broke.
But the determined Brown did not give up. He approached Herron and Alliance for a loan to start a new business, and says that, “his good friends were ready to help.”
“They knew me and they knew I had integrity,” says Brown. “Alliance was right there for me.”
Today, over a decade later, Brown’s Electric is going strong, serving not only residential clients, but also numerous commercial clients.
Brown and his crew do it all.
“Everything from electrical needs for remodels and additions for the USD 501 school district and Kansas University Hilltop Childcare Center,” lists Brown, “to wiring French Middle School’s new 1200 square-foot computer room in Topeka, to installing 65 light poles for the state of Kansas on the Kansas Neurological Institute grounds.
“Sometimes I see a job I wouldn’t normally go after because of it’s tremendous size and financial demands,” says Brown, “but knowing Alliance will back me with loans for materials and labor...it gives me all the confidence I need.”
