Alliance Customer: 11 Years
If Alliance Bank had framed the first dollar bill ever deposited, it would probably have Jim Kuhn’s name on it.
Kuhn was the bank’s first commercial customer, and considers Steve, Mark and Jeff “old friends.”
“I knew them at their previous bank, and was happy to follow them when they opened Alliance,” says Kuhn. “They put their faith in me when I was ready to start something new…that meant a lot.”
That “something new” was Shawnee Woodwork. Kuhn, a woodworker since graduating from high school, had worked for his dad for many years. That first company ran on tough times and was forced to close.
When Kuhn decided to form his own millwork company, he knew just who to turn to for assistance.
“Mark and the guys have always been my mentors and listening ears through good times and tough ones,” says Kuhn. “They’ve helped me at every turn as both financial advisors and cheerleaders.”
Today, Shawnee Woodwork manufactures thousands of feet each year of high-end molding, doorjambs and running trim annually for builders, distributors and retailers across the country.
“Thanks to Alliance’s guidance, we’re doing great and running strong,” says Kuhn. “I’m happy to share my story because I really do think the world of them. Without Alliance, I know I could not have come this far.”
